Storytelling in Parallel Universes

This week, I received a lot more information about the assignments for the attachment. Thinking about the assignments made me wonder: What stories am I going there to share? What stories will I hear and come back to tell? What makes for a good story?

As I start thinking about what stories I will share, I am reminded that it is difficult to help people who've never seen, heard or experienced my way of life and thinking, to appreciate and understand the rich yet subtle complexities of the heritage, traditions, hopes and aspirations that have led me thus far. Parallel universes. I guess the same will be true of me trying to appreciate and understand them.

Nevertheless, black upon white can result in a beautiful canvas - like this canopy at East Coast Park on National Day after it rained showers of blessings :-)
