Loeb and Behold!

Couldn't conquer the jet lag, so after unpacking till 4am, I just waited it out till 7am, had breakfast then planned the errands for the day. I caught my first Ottawa sunrise! Here's a not very good shot of it - the best parts disappeared round the corner of my apartment (tried in vain to yank the window open).

I bought and activated my Canadian line within a morning. Check out the cellphone - it matches my Singapore phone ;-) And I had nothing to do with it! The girl at Solo Mobile simply gave me a pink one :-) Having some trouble with the banks, but never mind - that's tomorrow's problem.

My best discovery for the day? 24-hour grocery store Loeb, just 2 blocks away on George and Cumberland. Thanks to Loeb, I enjoyed a summer- worthy meal in the evening - vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh baby spinach and warm farmer's grain bread with salted olive butter. Yums. Thought I saw packets of chicken pieces and parts at the meat section - maybe can plan for chicken soup next :-)
