Labour Day

Woke up and as usual, checked for the weather updates on TV. Happy news about an averted strike - I suppose Labour Day is one of the best occasions to make culminated sentiments known. This time, it would have been a strike across all 24 community colleges in Ontario, but apparently they reached a deal in time. Good for them. I tried searching for Labour Day parades as well, but it seems they were mostly out in the suburbs. There was a street jam downtown, from mid-morning to late afternoon, but little else.

It was Labour Day for me too - mugging all the readings. Today, I tackled the overview file. Plenty of reports and macro level information, all hard copy - thankfully, all also downloadable from the web. Interesting stuff. I have many questions. Can't wait to begin asking them. Tomorrow, tomorrow...
